Excellent facilities, all very modern and new, great location, and very nice and accommodating host

Nothing major to complain about

We stayed at Madeira Loft by Mathias for six nights in Funchal with our family, and after a long and careful selection process, we can confidently say we made the right choice. From the very beginning, the experience was seamless. Christian was in touch with me throughout the entire process — from check-in to ongoing support during our stay. His communication was highly professional, fast, and clear. Everything was handled via WhatsApp, which made it extremely convenient. A special thank you for the detailed guide about the apartment, the island, and all available amenities. It is an outstanding document — practical, well-structured, and genuinely helpful. In my opinion, every apartment rental should have a guide like this. As for the apartment itself — it is brand new and fully equipped with everything you may need and even more. All furniture and appliances are new, modern, and of excellent quality. The space is generous and very well designed. We had a separate bedroom upstairs, while our child stayed comfortably on the first floor. The large, soft, and very comfortable sofa deserves special mention. The location is another major advantage. Right in the center, with walking distance to all main attractions and the ocean — just a couple of minutes away. For a family stay, this convenience makes a big difference. Despite initially having some hesitation due to the limited number of reviews, we now understand this is simply because the property is new — which is actually a great advantage. Everything feels fresh, modern, and thoughtfully prepared. Highly recommended for families and couples alike. A fantastic place to stay.

Flat was on first floor and immaculate - lovely high ceilings in a restored house. Great kitchen if you want to cook . Living area has 2 spaces one for reading and one for watching TV. There were even USB charging points and cables in the bedroom and living area. Aircon in the bedroom and a fan in the TV area. The option of the bath instead of a shower great idea after a hike. Our host was helpful in every way and we had details of how to get the key access codes the day before we arrived. Great welcome pack as well as tea and coffee to get us started. Christian sent us a very detailed Madeira guide (on Whatsapp), included time to get to places and when to go for the best visit to help with choosing what we could do during our stay. Very close to the old town.Easy to walk to sea front, buses,pick up a taxi, or to a grocery shop or supermarket

Need to take care on the stairs down from the bedroom best in bare feet rather than socks. Water in the shower does run very hot so work out how to adjust it before diving in. Having to leave and come home.

Fantastic location. Beautifully renovated property. Generous sized apartment with everything you could need. Swift check in with key code, cold drinks in the fridge is a nice touch after a long journey. Incredibly helpful and responsive host, helped to book cabs and give advice for our trip. Would 100% recommend staying here.
