Clean, comfortable room. Telly and appliances in full working order. Warm. Magnificent power shower! Could've stayed in it all day. Gorgeous breakfast at a decent price. Helpful, friendly, polite and approachable staff. The train journey to and from Edinburgh goes over the Firth of Forth, and so offers beautiful, breathtaking views of the river and estuary - looking eastward to the North Sea and westward to Lothain and Fife. Very close to the seafront and high street. Kirkcaldy is an interesting place with fine architecture and history, although the High Street is a bit run-down to be fair. The sea view is amazing, however, and worth the affordable hotel cost alone! And one last thing: Kirkcaldy is the birthplace of Adam Smith, the founder of modern economics. You really should check it out.

Slighty hard to get back from Edinburgh after a night on the lash, and the breakfast could start a tiny bit earlier in order to get to Edinburgh early in the morning, but these are minor gripes. Edinburgh hotels are expensive, so being a bit further away is a small price to pay. Just make sure you don't miss the last train!

Great location

Lovely large room, clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the hot chocolate in the room.

Check in was a bit chaotic. Had no idea where to go, approached the bar where we were ignored at first. Asked where we check in, we were told here. But we had to wait until 4 members of staff took a photo of someone on the other side of the bar. Breakfast wasnt until 9am, we left before this.
