Caravan was modern, bedding was good quality. Communication with host was good

Drawers were not cleaned. Crockery had dried on dirt and some cups and glasses had lipstick and coffee stains. Property was very cold on arrival. Passes were purchased for activity centre but everything needed to be prebooked on line and there was no access on camp website to do so as this was a booking. Com reservation so we couldn’t attend shows or go swimming. WiFi had to be purchased in principle but in reality neither my husbands or my devices could be recognised to do so.

We booked a few days at Vallie Retreats for my father-in-law’s birthday, as my parents used to live in Coningsby, so it felt like a meaningful place to return to. The caravan was very comfortable, clean, and well-equipped, making it easy to relax and enjoy our time. We especially appreciated that it was dog-friendly, which made the trip much easier and meant our dog could enjoy the break with us. The host (Debs) was communicative and welcoming. The caravan hire does not include guest pass entry into the Merlin Complex. Debs can arrange the passes but for this trip we didn’t need them. If we book again and take our Grandchildren, we would add these onto to our booking and ask Debs to arrange them. The caravan is in a peaceful setting and ideal for relaxing — easy access to everything. The caravan had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The wrap around veranda was a blessing for our dog. If we had to mention anything that could improve it, it would simply be the addition of a hoover — though that’s more down to personal preference and my own OCD than a necessity. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily return. It was a great place to stay and enjoy some peaceful downtime. Highly recommend!
