Alton towers weekend

There was a mix-up with the booking but they accommodated me and my daughter, absolutely lovely couple, very clean and fresh room with everything we needed. Breakfast was great and we'll definitely be back again.

Owner was lovely, he also didn’t mind that i was an hour and a half late for check in. Very comfortable bed, clean and well kept premises

Overall the stay was good, we were well rested and the rooms were lovely.

I liked the cleanliness of the bed and breakfast, everything was ready for our arrival, bathroom was also very nice and clean, it’s a roku tv, good for entertainment when it’s needed, king room has a lot of space if your not travelling lightly, the hosts were lovely people, didn’t disturb us atall and we felt at home, he asked what time we wanted breakfast, we weren’t big breakfast eaters so we told him it wasn’t required as he was kind about it, place was easy to find, came with 2 cars and had places to park which was good. Beds were comfortable and plenty pillows. Never went in our rooms or came to disturb us at any point. We also had keys for the front door and all of the rooms which was very reassuring.

They never advertised that the bathroom wasn’t private, so we didn’t expect to get there and be told it’s a shared bathroom, that information wasn’t on the website and would have appreciated that, at one point one of us was unaware and walked out in her towel only for someone she didn’t know to walk past. The heating wasn’t on when we were there, the only way to keep warm was by leaving our doors shut when gone and curtains shut to keep the draft out. There wasn’t much communication about keysafe codes for rooms, gates etc. Until I had to ask a couple hours before arrival. It would better to have 24 hours notice of that information. We only came with 2 cars so it was fine for us, but if on the off chance you’re coming with more than that i’m not sure where you would park. At one point we came back to the property after being to Alton towers, the front door was unlocked and not even latched which I thought was dangerous. They have a young child who’s loud in the mornings, it didn’t bother us so much as that’s what kids do, but for anyone who is not an early riser.

Was ok for what we needed it for but not worth the money paid.

It was close to where we were going on the Saturday night.

I feel for the money we paid that this was not worth it, £90 for a bed that was a little bigger than the others and they were £20 less, when I put in to book I requested a room with a private bathroom and this one came up so I booked it as it looked nice, when we arrived yesterday I asked about the en-suite and the gentleman who greeted us new nothing about it, he didn’t know which room we were staying in he said that we have been given the wrong pin for the room, I was woken on a number to f occasions from 5 am by banging and clashing as they put the breakfast items out, I was woken as the bathroom door stuck so when you come out of it there was a loud bang.

I had a very comfortable nights sleep and the amenities were everything i needed.

Breakfast was a basic continental and i do not eat much in the morning so it suited me fine. I selected the accommodation with the location in mind and it was perfect for my needs.

Nice but expensive for what you get!

Bed was really comfortable, slept well.

Rooms are expensive considering it's a shared bathroom. Breakfast is just put on a plate, uncovered, in the lobby and you help yourself to the plate with your room number on. Doesn't seem very hygienic to leave them uncovered. No butter or jam provided for croissant. A glass of orange would be nice.. Think the online details should point out that it's just a cold breakfast When I got back from walking into town for a gig, around 10.40pm the gates were all locked up and I coukdnt get in!!!. The guy had specifically said he'd not lock them so I could get in. It was dark, no lighting on gate, so had to use the torch on my phone to see what was happening. I'm 70 yrs old, its nearly 11pm and I couldn't get into my B&B! It was scarey. It was also fortunate I had charge left in my phone to ring them! Not very impressed. Large TV in room but you can only get Netflix on it!!! On my arrival i was shown to my room but I wasn't given any info about breakfast timing, check out, etc, and no info in rooms.

Good start, just needs some work

The rooms were a good size, plenty of space to park, the breakfast was ok. Small fridge to use in the main hall.

Could do with some more pillow options, one wasn't enough and it was really thin. The doors are really hard to lock/unlock especially the bathroom, so that needs looking at. Also no spoons to stir the coffee/tea that we could see.

Comfortable find.

Made to feel very welcome from the start. Ample room for secured parking. Newly refurbished to a high standard. Room was beautiful, cosy and comfortable. The owners definitely go above and beyond to ensure your stay is excellent. The location was great and ubers were in an abundance. Check in and out times are great. We will definitely book again.
