History and luxury

Very close to centraal station in the middle of everything and loved the big windows

Only thing was steep stairs but this seems to be very characteristic of Amsterdam part of the experince

Inside the room was done up nicely, modern. The room was different to the pictures here but think we just got the floor above this one so slightly different in that way. Host was easy to contact and offered to store our bags upon checkout before returning for them in the evening. They also provided plenty of ear plugs to use as unfortunately, naturally Amsterdam is a loud place and with such a central and good location, lots of things going on outside at all hours.

The stairs are super steep and the walls leading to the rooms are damp and dirty. If you don’t like to use ear plugs it may be difficult to sleep, we were fine with them in though.

Absolutely everything, central location, excellent and attentive host

The stairs were a bit of an obstacle but the room was spot on once we got up to it.

“History and luxury” is the name of the place but I didn’t experience either. How can you call a place “luxury” if the renovation is not completed? I’m not taking about the sink that was installed DURING my stay but bathroom walls and self-made unpainted shelves. I mean, no shame in that but don’t sell it as “luxury”, that’s plain misleading. The kettle is broken & you should warn people about the extremely narrow staircase - if I were 15kg bigger, I’d really have trouble to get to the apartment. The hallway was quite dirty. Overall, didn’t feel very safe. It would have been okay if I hadn’t expected something different.
