The owner had good communication and gave us updates and check in info before arriving. The apartment was fairly large by Tokyo standards. There was everything we needed in the kitchen. The beds were comfortable and the bedding was good quality and there was plenty of bedding. The travel options and food options nearby were good. The bath and shower were both nice and the apartment was mostly clean. They provide a lot of washing and cleaning products and toilet roll, tissues etc. There was plenty of wardrobe space. If the noise issue in the bedroom was resolved I would stay here again.

The owner let us know after booking that the apartment is on two floors but I think it's important to explain to guests that the stairway between the upstairs and downstairs is public and shared. The main front door of the building is also unlocked so anyone could access this stairway. There might be some instances that would make this feel unsafe. The public stairway is also quite dirty. Although the apartment was a good size for us, 3 adults and 1 child, it sleeps 9 people and I think this would feel very cramped at full occupation. The bedroom window is right next to a trainline and the trains run late and early and they're loud so if you're a light sleeper or if you have kids it's not great. The blinds in the bedroom don't block out any light and the windows don't block any noise. There were tourists yapping loudly at a bar right outside the bedroom window under the train tracks every night and it was pretty annoying. The owner let us know that this was a new listing but some of the furniture was run down and needs fixing. There was a sofa seat that had broken in, a wardrobe door with a hole in and the bath shower wet room had quite a lot of black mold on the ceiling. There was also a toothbrush and toothpaste left in there from a previous guest. The bottom wardrobe cupboard was very dusty and it was the only cupboard my child could reach so we needed to put her clothes in there.

Close and quiet to everything we wanted to do would stay here again
