Budapest Bounce Apartment

We really loved the location — it was very convenient for exploring Budapest. The room was beautiful, clean and comfortable, and communication with the host was fast, clear and very helpful. We also really appreciated that our additional request was provided. Everything was well organised and the instructions were clear.

The only small difficulty was finding the apartment at first. It was described as being on the second floor, but according to the way we count floors in Estonia, it was actually the third floor, so it took us a little while to find it. The entrance to the apartments is also along an open balcony area, which felt a little uncomfortable, especially when carrying suitcases up the stairs. However, the instructions provided were clear, so once we understood the layout, everything was fine.

The apartment was very clean and nicely furnished. We had good AC, a washing machine, two TV with Netflix and a well-equipped kitchen. The instructions the staff gave us were very clear and useful. Overall very happy with out stay!

The apartment complex in which the apartment is situated looks a bit run-down, but other than that, no complaints!

The apartment looked very much like the pictures on Booking.com and appeared to be clean upon arrival. It could potentially accommodate six people, although I would question how comfortable it would be for that many guests.

The separate toilet and shower were not an issue in themselves, but the toilet was extremely small. Even for three women who are neither particularly tall nor large, it was uncomfortable to use. I imagine it could be a real problem for taller or larger guests. We were three guests, but the beds were only prepared for two people. We had to search inside the sofa to find bedding for the third person, and there was no way of knowing whether it had been freshly changed or had simply been left there by previous guests. This did not give us much confidence in the preparation of the apartment. The Wi-Fi was another significant problem. Although the connection appeared to have a full signal, nothing worked, and even the TV could not connect. In practice, the Wi-Fi was unusable. The basic amenities were also disappointing. Only enough coffee for two people for one day was provided, despite the reservation being for three guests. There were no kitchen towels or even a simple cleaning cloth, meaning we had to use toilet paper to wipe up water in the kitchen. Compared with another apartment we rented nearby, which cost only around €50 more for four nights and provided coffee, shower gel, shampoo, dishwasher tablets and other basic essentials, this apartment felt poorly equipped and lacking in thoughtful details. It did not have that welcoming, homely feeling that makes a stay comfortable. The building and the feeling of safety I noticed that another guest had commented on the age of the building. To be clear, the age itself was not the problem. We also rented another apartment in an older building, and that property was clean, well maintained and welcoming. Unfortunately, this building felt very different. The communal areas appeared extremely neglected, and the stairwell was in a particularly poor condition.
