Madeira Home at Cliff Residence

This was one of the finest holiday stays we had. The apartment is beautifully situated on a cliff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and is located 5-7 minutes drive from the airport. It was impeccably clean, exceptionally comfortable, and fully equipped with everything one might need. The kitchen was particularly well stocked, and the two bedrooms had comfortable double beds along with plenty of wardrobe space. The sitting room overlooking the ocean had a comfortable sofa and a TV with access to Netflix and YouTube. Stunning ocean views from one the bedrooms and the living with sea-facing balcony. The owner,Maria has taken great care to ensure every detail contributes to a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Funchal is only 15 minutes away. Grocery store ( Continental ) was also 5-6 minutes on drive. Apartments a parking lot. Overall, a truly delightful and memorable stay.

My fiancée and I spent 9 wonderful nights here and it was simply an outstanding place to stay. Spacious, well-equipped, and it feels like a real home rather than a typical rental. The kitchen had everything we needed — a coffee machine with plenty of capsules, an air fryer, toaster, oven, and more. We cooked regularly and made great use of it throughout our stay. The terrace with garden furniture and sun loungers was a great feature. The weather during our stay was rainier and cooler than the forecasts had suggested, so we couldn't enjoy it as much as we'd hoped — but whenever the sun came out, we ate outside and made the most of it. On the last sunny day, we finally got a few hours on the loungers. The bedroom has a direct view of the ocean from the cliff — waking up to that every morning was truly special. We hiked a lot during the stay, and the apartment was genuinely helpful on the muddier days. The washing machine came with laundry capsules, and there was a small basin perfect for washing shoes after muddy trails. Having clean clothes and gear every day made a real difference. The vacuum cleaner was also useful for keeping things tidy during a longer stay. The bathroom was well stocked — shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, a hairdryer with a diffuser, and enough towels for the whole stay. Everything was just there when we needed it. The host was great — always reachable and quick to respond. When we accidentally locked ourselves out, she helped us straight away without any fuss. She also left us a small gift at the end of the stay, which was a really nice touch. The neighbourhood is quiet and peaceful. Underground parking is included with a dedicated spot — tight, as parking tends to be everywhere on Madeira, but manageable. There were also a few unassigned spots in front of the building, and we used both depending on the day.
