Fig Tree House

A lovely, beautifully renovated older home with loads of character. A bit out of the way, and a little noisier than expected due to the big trucks passing often, but we enjoyed our stay. The grounds are so lovely - the kids really enjoyed exploring (fully fenced yard) - and the pool was such an added bonus. The kitchen is so lovely and well provisioned, we cooked all our meals there. I really appreciate accommodation that provides enough dishwasher tabs and dish soap/cloths to actually clean up. Thank you. The rooms are well appointed, and the beds are comfortable. Fans in every room help with the heat, and there's an air conditioning unit available too, but we didn't need it as the breezes were beautiful. The bathrooms are absolutely stunning and well provisioned with shampoo/conditioner/soaps.

I'd recommend adding extra pillows for guests to switch, as some people found the super high pillows on the beds very uncomfortable. Also, a few extra blankets in the cupboards would be great, so people can switch to a level of warmth they're comfortable with. The doona and coverlet were enough for us, but I could see being hot under the coverlet in summer but too cold with just the sheet. Extra cutlery would be really useful as well, with 6 people we were washing between every meal. My mum also asked me to note that there were no extra towels/bathmats, and said that the main bathroom was missing a hand towel. Also, I'd personally recommend not leaving the pool vacuum in when there are guests. We've owned pools before, so knew how to handle it, but it's probably a risk to leave it set up as is.
