Casa Luce Como

Our experience at the house was wonderful. We only stayed for one night, but we wished we could have stayed longer. The house was very new, spotless, and well maintained. Donald and Kley were outstanding hosts. They were attentive to both our arrival and departure, helping us with our luggage arrangements and making everything easy for us. They were always available to answer any questions and assist with anything we needed throughout the weekend. We hope to return soon and would highly recommend this place to anyone. 100% recommended!

Great space and location

L’appartamento ha superato ogni aspettativa. La posizione è perfetta, comoda per muoversi e per godersi la zona. La pulizia era impeccabile, tutto curato nei minimi dettagli. Anche il comfort merita una menzione speciale: letto comodissimo, ambiente tranquillo e un’atmosfera accogliente che ci ha fatto sentire subito a casa. Torneremmo volentieri!

Considering what other options are charging, this apartment is acceptably-priced at 320 €. It is newly-renovated, and the Airconditioning works (probably not all properties in Como have Air-Conditioning).

After booking, I repeatedly, asked the host to give precise instructions on how to identify the apartment and where to wait to meet the greeter. He kept dancing around the question, until my option to cancel free lapsed. Then he still didn’t answer the question, but demanded 30 € additional if I wanted to check in at 11 am. I agreed. He also told me I could wait in an adjacent bar until 11 am, and gave me his cell number “for any concerns”. When I got to the location at 10:45, as I feared there was nothing to indicate which of the many possibilities was Casa Luce. The taxi driver assured me that “this building is what corresponds to Casa Luce as per the Google map”, but there was no Casa Luce in the list of building occupants. I callled the number given, but calls were blocked (throughout my stay, I never succeeded in getting through by voice to the host). I went to the bar. It was closed (only opens at 7 pm). I suppose the host knew that, but suggested the bar to shut me up. Finally I tried messaging the host, and he did answer my What’s App message, saying the greeter was on his way. I hung around and tried to be conspicuous. The greeter arrived in the vicinity shortly after 11 am and approached me since I was the only person in the area with bags and an annoyed look on my face. The greeter was affable and things were more smooth after.
