Seaside Retreat with Postcard Views

I'm still dreaming about this stay...where do I begin! Solo female traveller, first time boat stayer! This was the most interesting experience for a trip that I have had. Cascais is a gorgeous town with beautiful streets, art, beaches, restaurants, it has everything. The marina where the boat is located is maintained to a very high standard, only steps from your pontoon you have restaurants serving every sort of cuisine and drinks. There are also a mixture of luxury brand shops as well as essentials such as a hair salon, mini market, exercise apparel etc, in addition to activity providers such as bike hire and boat excursions. Again, only a very very short walk from the pontoon you have useful services such as private bathrooms/showers for boat visitors, laundry facilities, bins, phone charging facilities, filtered water and ice machine! The boat itself is clean and so comfortable. It has everything you would need, double bed, bedding, towels, sink, water, mini kitchen with utensils, coffee making facilities, power to charge devices, loads of storage in hidden compartments, I loved it so much! It was easy to board and disembark and I had the best sleep being gently rocked by water. The boat can be locked up when you are touring for security, and the access to the pontoon is by key card only, so it felt very safe. In addition to this the neighbouring boats were very friendly people, and there is also security on site for the marina at night. Usually from about 10pm the place gets very quiet as businesses close and the place becomes very very peaceful for sleep. The owner Francisco, could not have done more for me, he was very friendly and gave me all of the information I needed about the boat, the services, local restaurants etc. at check-in. And he also checked in with me during my stay and was contactable if I needed to ask any questions. If you are reading this and thinking about booking it, just do it!

Insolite, cosy et unique. Être loin de la foule bruyante, tout en étant à quelques pas des services et activités. Une autre vie que d’être à bord d’un bateau même amarré. Méditation, tranquillité, calme. J’y reviendrai avec plaisir.
