Located in front of the fort of Cascais and a few minutes walk from the Marina, the apartment has a 24-hour concierge and parking
Small circular bus (Buscas) with stop right in front takes you to the station of the Railway Line of Cascais - the trip to Lisbon is about 40 minutes. From the apartment to the station on foot takes about 10 minutes.
The center of Cascais has many good restaurants and cafes.
Rental price for short stays (minimum 4/5 days):
In the high season months: June, July, August and September
95 euros per day
Christmas and New Year: 95 euros per day
In the off season months: January, February, March, April and May, October, November: 70 euros per day
At the time of booking, a deposit of 40% of the amount of the stay in the account of the owner in Portugal is required and the remainder 30 days before check in
The apartment is legalized as local accommodation before the Portuguese authorities. Guests should therefore provide their full name passport numbers for information on their stay.
2019: Work is being carried out at the entrance of the building, so there is a possibility of some noise during the working days, in principle until September 2019.

Fantastic Apartment in the Perfect Location – Highly Recommend!This was our fifth visit to Cascais but our first stay at Casas do Gandarinha, and it absolutely made our holiday. The apartment was larger than expected, spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The open-plan living/dining area was bright and airy, and the separate kitchen was well equipped (oven, induction hob, full-size fridge/freezer, washing machine, plenty of utensils). There’s no coffee maker, so bring your own tea and coffee, but a kettle is provided.The bedroom and bathroom were huge, the shower excellent, and the double bed extremely comfortable. Electric shutters kept rooms cool and dark for a great sleep.The large private patio with dining table and shade was a real bonus, as were the pretty gardens and big, spotless pool, often empty except for a couple of resident ducks. Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, and there’s secure parking on site, though we mainly used Uber (about 30 to/from the airport).The location couldn’t have been better, directly opposite the marina and museum district, five minutes to the centre and beaches, with supermarket and local market about 15 minutes away (the provided trolley made shopping easy). Many restaurants are within a short walk. The apartment block area felt very safe and has 24-hour security.We loved everything about our stay, the location, comfort, and secure, spacious apartment. We couldn’t fault anything and would definitely stay here again.

Pros; The apartment is in a fabulous location, spacious and the check in was easy. Cons; One of the beds was very uncomfortable, and the only way to may coffee was a tea kettle type system, one cup at a time. The manager told us she would provide a pod coffee maker, then decided not to. The shower has quite a bit of mold, and the water guard is torn half way off.

First. Location is wonderful. Away from busy parts of cascais. The garden and pool are lovely. It’s a gated building with 24 hour guards. Guards a friendly and helpful.
The apartment is decorated in classic Portuguese/ brazilian style. Living room is spacious and the kitchen is modern with large fridge and freezer.
I stayed for 4 weeks in February so had a chance to reslly experience the apartment. First concern was heat. The apartment was very cold when i arrived. I’m from Minnesota so i like my house to be at 68 to 72 degrees. The host sent me several messages requesting i not leave the heater running steadily. Another time the host informed menthat cleaning lady said i had the place too hot.
To be clear. I only ran the heater in the living room. The bedroom and bathroom did not have a heater. Also i was in cascsis for 6 weeks last February and march in a different spartment in this building. Ran heaters until i was comfortable. Am in different apartment in march in this building. Have been in apartment porto in February and an apartment in Baxia Lisbon during December. Again in all other cases I ran heaters until comfortable. No complaints from hosts.
The shower is oddly constructed. Is an enclosed shower. But it is literally a closed glass box. It has floor to ceiling glass with a hinged door that is also floor to ceiling. It had a slight mold smell. Most such showders ( which are long like this one) are open at the top
