Cliffe House Cottage

Cliffe House Cottage is a gorgeous spacious stone cottage surrounded by stunning countryside. It was perfect for us and we loved the decor, the huge comfy bed, comfortable sofas and kitchen. The bathroom has a large bath and a separate roomy shower with excellent flow. The whole cottage has been lovingly renovated by the owners and has a lovely comfortable ambience. We really appreciated the welcome gifts left for us on arrival - especially the yummy cherry and almond cake from the bakery in Pateley Bridge! The weather was hot and sunny during our stay, but the cottage stayed cool inside. We took a tower fan with us and had this on the lowest setting through the night upstairs. Simon was lovely and helpful and always on hand if we needed him. The cottage was dog friendly when we booked, and Simon was really understanding about Alfie our Frenchie staying. Sadly their pet policy has changed. The cottage is peaceful and was perfect for a restful holiday. The location in Bewerley is gorgeous, and you can get into Pateley Bridge in minutes. We had our breakfasts in Pateley Bridge and our favourite place was The Courtyard Café where we sat out in the shade - their coffee was the nicest we had enjoyed in the area. There are so many beautiful places to visit - Grassington, Linton Falls, Brimham Rocks etc, all a short drive away, so the location was perfect for us. We took a longer car journey to see Thornton Le Dale and had a walk in a woodland on the way back. The host and the area is very friendly and welcoming, and we will definitely return to explore more.
