Comfy, modern property, everything brand new, fully functioning appliances, shower, A/C unit. A fantastic roof terrace with a beautiful Acropolis view, where was a constant breeze of fresh air, even during a hot day mid June, was a huge bonus! Parking was super easy on the little street downstairs to the right. The location is extremely convenient for day and night life, decent supermarket options, great coffee/food selection, plenty of co-working cafes out and about, commute in all directions, even as a running start/finish point.

The area is right in the middle of the night life of Athens - it's super busy and very loud! There's a little theatre in front of the property and a huge concert/clubbing area across the street. The week when I stayed there (mid June), there was a new concert every evening - all of different styles. It might be actually a free bonus for someone. And to tell the whole truth, the music and the fun seemed to be always over right before the midnight, at around 23:30 (apparently, due to regulations). But even then, the night life and clubbing were omnipresent on Friday and Saturday nights, it seemed that there was noise everywhere. I wouldn't book again only because I'm a light sleeper, and it isn't quiet here.

It’s not their fault but the construction and parties in the proximity of the building. But you walk so much that you sleep and don’t hear it anymore. But the construction during the weekend wasn’t great.

The location was relatively convenient and well situated for exploring Athens. I also appreciated the responsiveness of the hosts. When we reported a problem with the window, they stayed in contact with us and arranged for a technician to come and repair it. Their communication during that process was good and the issue was addressed promptly.

What disappointed us most was that nowhere in the listing did we see any mention of the significant traffic noise. The apartment is located next to a very busy road on an uphill section, and vehicles passing by often accelerate heavily, creating constant and very loud noise throughout both the day and the night. For the first two nights, we could hardly sleep because, in addition to the traffic noise, the window was broken and could not be closed properly. Although a technician fixed the window after two days, the traffic noise remained excessive at all hours. The hosts state that the apartment has double-glazed windows for improved sound insulation, but in our experience the noise reduction was minimal. In my opinion, the window frames are not adequate for a property located next to such a busy road and do not provide sufficient protection from outside noise. We were also disappointed that the hosts were unwilling to offer a refund for the remaining nights if we chose to leave the apartment early due to the noise. We found this unfair given the circumstances. Overall, I would not recommend this apartment to travelers looking for a quiet place to relax and get a good night’s sleep.
