Thissio Getaway 2BA next to Athens ancient market

Locatie was echt top! Alles was op korte loopafstand bereikbaar. Echt een aanrader voor gezinnen met kinderen.

De bedden maakten lawaai. Eén slaapkamer was echt koud, maar met extra dekens konden we wel goed slapen.

Very nice apartment with a garden! The apartment smelled really nice and fresh when we entered. Comfortable beds and close to metro station!

Small bathroom but is ok!

I’ve stayed at this property for the second time. There are two bedrooms. The one facing the inner courtyard is pleasantly quiet.

During my stay, it was cold in Athens, and the apartment was quite chilly as well. In the summer months, though, it’s great to have it stay so cool. Fortunately, I found blankets in the closet, and with the heating and the blankets, it became comfortable.

The apartment is in a great location. You can reach all major sightseeing spots on foot within 30 minutes (Monastiraki is 15 minutes away, Syntagma Square about 30 minutes). Self-check-in was very convenient via a keybox with a code right next to the door.

The Wi-Fi barely worked during our stay. We asked the host for support, but they just quickly told us to reset the modem, which unfortunately did not fix the problem. If you need darkness to sleep, this place has issues. Light leaks in from the outside at night. Also, the main double bedroom is separated from the living room only by a glass partition. Since the front door facing the street is also glass, there is very little privacy and it is impossible to darken the room. Missing Amenities: The apartment lacks basic useful items. There is no clothes drying rack and no power outlets next to the bed to charge phones overnight. The outdoor courtyard has no light, making it completely unusable in the evening. Early in the morning, loud renovation works started in the building next door. While we understand this is out of the host's control, we would have appreciated being informed in advance to make an informed choice. No Flexibility: The host does not allow late check-out or luggage storage. On our departure day, we had to pay €7-10 for a nearby public luggage locker
