About this house rental
Escape to the peaceful charm of Lake Wedowee at cozy Evergreen Cottage! This retreat truly has something for everyone.
1. Shared private lake access to make launching kayaks and boats easy.
2. Hot tub, Separate refundable deposit required for use
3. Large fenced in back yard, perfect for cornhole or letting kids & pets play.
4. Gigantic screened in porch for darts, reading, or game day.
5. Charcoal grill and outdoor dining area.
6. Close proximity to both downtown Wedowee & Lonnie White Boat Ramp.
The main level of the cottage features a well equipped kitchen, dining area, spacious family room and the primary bedroom & bathroom. Upstairs you'll find the 2nd bedroom & bathroom which sleeps 4 comfortably on the 2 sets of double bunk beds.
The back yard is made for hanging out. The screened-in porch has a lake view, tons of comfortable seating, darts, games, and a tv for watching football in the fall. The attached uncovered deck is perfect for grilling & dining. The yard is fenced, making it safe for kids & pets to play. The lower deck is a short walk across the yard and overlooks the lake, this is where you'll find the hot tub and fire pit.
The home shares access to a private boat ramp and deck overlooking the water. This area is great for launching kayaks or small boats. *Lonnie White public boat ramp is also just up the road.
Three cars or a boat trailer will easily fit in the driveway. No garage access.
*Please note: One side of the fence adjoins the neighbors yard. They have a few pups of their own, very friendly but may bark to welcome new friends.
* Please note that Alabama Power lowers the water level in the fall to prepare for winter and spring rains, then raises it back to summer pool levels by May.

This home is absolutely beautiful. The perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the big city. Very charming and welcoming to not only my husband and I, but also our fur babies. The back yard is everything plus a hot tub. Our boys had a blast exploring the yard. It is also great to walk out to the hot tub platform early in the morning with a cup of cocoa and watch boats zoom by. The inside of this home is as spectacular. A grand fireplace to keep warm and cozy on those cooler days and nights. The hosts supplied everything. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the bathrooms and every kitchen utensil a kitchen needs plus more. The screened in back porch is amazing. It was my favorite area. A fireplace, tv, comfy furniture and games made a perfect area to read a book or just get some quality time with my husband while the boys played in the backyard. The home also provided board games that my husband and I thought were hilarious. There are also a good amount of books to read at the top of the stairs. The area is very rural, which we loved. DoorDash is very limited. Maybe 4 places to order from but only if there are any drivers available. We tried ordering from the marina, but no available drivers. It wasn’t an issue though. We both like cooking for each other. There is a small grocery store close to Jack’s downtown that provided us with steaks. Overall it was the best VRBO experience we have had and cannot wait to go back.

Very nice home. Kitchen supplies were plentiful. Beautiful back patio. Property manager, Brian, was very helpful and always responded quickly to any questions.
