Great value, very cheap if all you need is a place to sleep. Includes delicious breakfast of assorted sweet potato preparations! Good location in beautiful town at Lake Chuzenji.

Amazing host, super friendly and helpful. I could borrow a bicycle to explore around the lake. Would highly recommend this place! Small surprise: on another platform this place is advertised as women only, but these are separate dorms.

I was asked to upload a photo of my passport to some online form without any privacy policy. After some discussion over chat could just show it at the place instead.

Very comfortable bed. Good hot shower - only one but limited hostel capacity should not make that an issue. Adequate kitchen for most- microwave, fridge, sink, some bowls & cutlery. Excellent host, informative, offered to drive me to Yolomo because it was raining, gave me a umbrella for the same reason. Could not be better. Fulsome breakfast, count the number of ways he serves up sweet potato.

No individual bed lights, power points yes, light no.
