We had a wonderful stay at this lovely house. The location is very quiet and relaxing, yet close to a nearby village with shops and everything you might need. The house is well equipped and has everything for a comfortable stay. It’s also a great base for exploring County Donegal. The host was always reachable and very helpful, and we really appreciated that she left the lights on for us despite our very late arrival. Highly recommended!

Moneen Mountain View is a fabulous, beautifully restored and modernised property, perfectly situated above the village of Kinlough. It is exceptionally well equipped for both long stays (as we enjoyed) and short breaks. Our host, Tara, was extremely accommodating with our pre-arrival requests and maintained excellent communication throughout the booking process and our stay. As our visit was in the run-up to Christmas, it was a lovely surprise to find the property tastefully decorated for our arrival, which made it feel especially welcoming. On entering the property, there is a downstairs WC with a shower; an invaluable feature for rinsing off our dog after his walks. This leads into a fully equipped utility room and then on into the main living areas. The large open-plan kitchen and dining space is bright and spacious, with French doors opening out onto the patio. A generous hallway with a wood-burning stove connects to a comfortable sitting room with a smart TV and the first of four bedrooms. Three of the bedrooms are ensuite, and the underfloor heating downstairs kept the entire property wonderfully warm and cosy. Upstairs are three further bedrooms, including a master bedroom with a large ensuite and an exceptionally comfortable bed. Despite being exposed to Atlantic winds, the house feels warm, secure, and incredibly well insulated. It is a beautiful property, and we would have absolutely no hesitation in rebooking or recommending Moneen Mountain View to others.
