1BR Flat for rent in Central Oxford City

The location was excellent—very convenient with plenty of restaurants and grocery stores nearby, and many tourist attractions were within walking distance.

The biggest issue for us was how warm the flat became during our stay. The host kindly provided two electric fans, but unfortunately they weren’t enough to keep the place cool, even with all the windows open. Since there’s a pub next door, we also had to deal with quite a bit of noise at night whenever the windows were open. We also noticed that some of the pots and utensils were a bit greasy, and the kettle didn’t seem clean, so we didn’t end up using it. There was also a noticeable smell in the bathroom, which may be due to the age of the building, but it was something we noticed throughout our stay. Overall, the location is fantastic, but the heat inside the flat was our biggest concern, especially during the warmer weather. Improving the ventilation or providing better cooling, along with paying a bit more attention to the cleanliness of the kitchen items and addressing the bathroom odour, would make the stay much more comfortable.

The flat is lovely - nicely decorated, spotlessly clean and in a very convenient location for shops and amenities on Cowley road. The hosts were very helpful and quick to respond. The kitchen/living room is particularly nice, very comfy sofa and nice kitchen set-up. The place is obviously very well cared for.

The entrance took me a little while to find as it is not in an immediately obvious location. The downside of being so close to a very popular pub is that there is some noise from outside in the evenings but it's quite easy to tune out.

I had a great stay at this Airbnb. The property is in a very good location, not far from the city centre, which made getting around easy. The apartment is a good size, very clean, and we really liked that it’s in a secure gated environment. The host was professional and ensured everything we needed was available in the apartment.

The only minor downside was that the communal entrance was a bit dark and could use better lighting, but it wasn’t a big deal at all.
