Well located, very clean, and staff welcoming

Not any aspect.

Good value for the Hallstatt area of Austria, an area that is quite expensive for accommodation. The room was nice.

The location was far from restaurants open in October and we did not have our own transportation. Thus, we had to walk about 1 km for dinners. There is a local bus that runs about once an hour in October that stops running at 18:00 or so, so you need to be careful to catch the last one home. The curtains were thin so the room got light as soon as the sun rose. I found the two main beds firm, like a futon, and switched to sleeping in the third bed in the room, which was more comfortable.

A small family-run hotel we booked just an hour before our arrival. The owner was very nice. The room itself was very simple, the bed a bit hard and not very comfortable, and the sheets didn’t feel completely clean.

For improvement: replacing the mattresses and bed linens would make the stay much more comfortable

A nice big comfortable room with a big bed and a nice shower as promised. Very Functional for a bed, if this is what you are looking. The hostes was also very nice.

The address in the reservation/booking site is wrong and misleading. It took us 2 hours to find this place, driving back and forth with the GPS. Only after getting desperate I tried to contact the place. Eventually I found the place using the map of close attraction on the booking site. When the hostess finally answered I was already there, but it was very unpleasant experience. Dark, bad address. There was also no air conditioning. I would have been more glad to have an option for a good breakfast.... None. There was no elevator to the second floor. Very narrow stare case, and it was very hard to get along with 2 heavy suitcases. Last thing: the photos are decieving: one may get an impression (I did) the place is a hotel next to the lake. There is a lake/water photo. The place is nice for sleeping, but it is next to the main road. No lake. You can hear the cars passing by at night.
