Large 4 Bedroom Seaside House by the beach and cliffs

Good communication with owner beforehand and found key to access and accomodation as described with bonus of utility area and sun room. Great layout for 8 of us - a 3 generation family including 3 teenagers +1 puppy get-together. Useful instruction book Open layout meant we were together most of the time enabling lovely inclusive conversations even when some one cooking/ making drinks etc with room for youngsters engaged in hobbies/ activities / on tablets etc to sit on stools at kitchen island. Lovely to sit all 8 of us together in separate dining room for evening meal, cooked breakfasts etc One of our party had to work from home so made a quiet office base for them by day. Great place for family evenings with boxed games too. Ample off road parking for 3 cars. House lovely and clean, bedding immaculate. The garden /utility room was great place for the puppy (we crated him at our meal times and overnight but with one of the crate doors open giving access to the specially designed designated doggy spaces giving freedom if puppy wanted to stretch out on the cool floor or get to his water bowl. We sat out reading in the garden too - didn’t get to use the beautiful sun room as weather was so good! But can see it would be a great advantage/ space if weather not so good. Could walk to sea front garden strip/view in 2 minutes - into town in 10 mins along the front- fantastic dog friendly beach 14 mins walk the opposite way. Keysafe meant we could split up and do different things but anyone home first had access to key.

Having to leave it after being so lucky with the weather and a wonderful 6 days mostly together. 😊 A larger saucepan would be helpful - had to cook pasta for 8 in two small pans! As it was open plan a stair gate at bottom of the stairs would be useful to ensure a dog isn’t tempted to venture that way (luckily we had taken our own folding fence type enclosure that we blocked the lounge from stair access and the puppy recognised the boundary. No fridge in kitchen but giant fridge/ freezer in the utility room. Perhaps a mini countertop fridge for milk for when just making cups of tea? But that’s splitting hairs a bit! Wonderful open plan kitchen and sliding doors in both kitchen and master bedroom, made you feel like you were outside even when inside.

Lounge area seating not enough for everyone to sit comfortably

Really nice house, great downstairs space, comfortable beds, excellent showers, lovely garden and amazing location.

Very strong smell of dog every time we entered the property. Not sure if it’s the mats as it was the same if we used the side door or the front door. Re the kitchen, there are only 7 mugs so we all couldn’t have a hot drink at the same time. There’s also only 7 large wine glasses too but other smaller glasses available. Re the double bedroom at the front of the property, the window blind can’t be adjusted up or down as the cord isn’t on the roller at the side. The extractor fan in the en-suite in this bedroom sounds like it is labouring, and one of the spot lights above the shower cubicle kept flashing.
