Casa Luma near Loutraki beach

Casa Luma was one of the highlights of our stay in Crete and easily deserves a 10/10. The little wooden house is incredibly cozy and comfortable, with a very comfortable bed, excellent quiet air conditioning, mosquito screens, a well-equipped kitchen, a large fridge and even a washing machine, which was especially useful at the end of our holiday. The location on the hillside is wonderfully peaceful and private, with breathtaking panoramic views over the beautiful Loutraki Bay and its little island, giving the scenery an almost Santorini-like feeling. We really appreciated the warm welcome with a bottle of wine, local raki and fresh fruit waiting for us when we arrived. Despite overlooking the bay, the house is remarkably quiet – we could not hear any noise from the beach below, only the occasional rooster in the morning. There was also an adorable little cat around the house that quickly became our friend, which made leaving Casa Luma even harder. Everything felt thoughtful, welcoming and homely, and the combination of privacy, beautiful surroundings and excellent facilities made it a perfect place to relax. We had a wonderful stay and would happily choose Casa Luma again on our next trip to Crete – highly recommended!

Nice building in nice place

We loved how modern and unique the property was. It’s very private, quiet and the views were amazing! We loved waking up with the sunrise every day :) Omar beach club was also the perfect walk round the corner for a coffee / cocktail. The host was very accommodating and quick to respond to any questions and requests. We also loved how clean and new everything was.
