Der Pool war angenehm warm. Die verschiedenen Ebenen bieten viele nette Plätze. Die Betten waren bequem. Besonders angenehm die eine Toilette in Poolnähe. Sehr schöne Aussicht von überall. Strand auch zu Fuß gut erreichbar. Nächster Supermarkt und gute Taverne in Sternes 3-4 km entfernt.

Niemand (Personal oder Besitzer) gesehen. Mussten Badetücher waschen,weil kein Wechsel. Umgebung mittlerweile sehr "verschandelt" durch Ressort Onar. Die Bucht wird ab Mittag stundenlang mit "Musik " beschallt, optisch wirken die Schirme o.ä. wie Panzersperren. Traurig, die weiteren Absichten, die Bucht zu vereinnahmen, zu erfahren. . Wir werden vermutlich nicht mehr in diese Gegend kommen.

Almost everything. - we had a great 2 week stay. A short summary of the highlights are below: Accommodation: Two bedrooms in the main villa, the third bedroom is upstairs by the pool (which is on the roof). The 3rd bedroom has its own ensuite and kitchenette. All three bathrooms are superb with probably the nicest showers we have experienced in any villa in Crete. The pool and poolside area is terrific. Be aware the pool gets deep very quickly. Lots of tables and chairs to relax on with a good balance of sunny and shady spots to choose from as the sun moves around the house. The view over Souda bay is delightful. Shops: The nearest shop in Marathi beach is probably walkable (15-20mins), but has limited options for self catering. Much easier to have a car to get to bakery, shops and pharmacy in Sternes, Spar supermarket in Aroni or the Aldi in Chania. Food & Drink: The Taverna at Loutraki beach (5 mins walk) has closed, possibly permanently. There is a beach bar which serves snacks and sandwiches, but this closes at sunset. A new Onar beach lounge (opened May 2025) is on the southern part of Loutraki beach. This is aimed at the more affluent local & tourist market. Book a bed online for the day and enjoy the sun, sea, pool, music and people watching. There are minimum spend requirements, depending on location of your bed. The is also a restaurant above the Onar beach lounge called Istio. This has a Michelin starred chef and the food is definitely a little bit special. Good ambience, good service, not busy... but pricier than the average Taverna. There are more eating options at Marathi beach, about 3-5 mins by car. The usual array of fish restaurants / tavernas as well as beach bars and also a take-away on the pier, which is well worth a visit. Management: Communication with the management company coudn’t have been better. They reacted promptly to any requests and questions.

Our only criticism was the lack of pool towels.

Équipements vieillissants ayant nécessité plusieurs interventions / réparations: machine à laver, télécommande de la climatisation, chasse d’eau. La piscine était géniale: dommage que nous n’ayons pas pu l’utiliser les deux derniers jours en raison de la saleté de son eau Le bruit: chantier à quelques centaines de mètres, y-c le week-end, base militaire (passage d’avions réguliers)

Fantastic location between two lovely bays, the closer one more chilled out, the further one better food, very easy to walk to both. The villa was lovely, air conditioning in all rooms, spacious, lovely little pool, great places to sunbathe or chill out in the shade, a really well thought out villa.

It would be great if there was a food shop in one of the bays! We were just there for a week to chill out and didn't want to hire a car. But there was a bus that went to a supermarket about 10 mins drive away, and it wasn't expensive to get a taxi back.
