The camper itself worked well for our trip and had everything we needed. The rooftop tent setup was convenient and made for a great way to explore Kauai. Overall, we still had a really fun experience using it.
Less than a week before our trip, we were told our confirmed reservation “wasn’t confirmed” on the owner’s end and that the first night had been double-booked. This forced us to find last-minute accommodations and rent a car, which was stressful and expensive. The owner seemed to place the blame on us, despite us having a confirmed, non-refundable booking. He mentioned possibly offering compensation or an upgrade, but neither happened, and the communication felt dismissive and unprofessional. We were also still charged extra for add-ons despite the inconvenience.
