Gambetta 4 Comfortable apartment Bordeaux Center

Location was excellent

I specifically asked the host, under special conditions, if there was a lift as we are a mature couple and my husband has had 2 knee replacements. The host confirmed There was a lift but upon arrival the lift wasn’t working so we had to carry our suitcases and carry on bags up 8 flights of stairs - 72 steps, as the apartment was on the 4th floor. We arrived on a Monday and they finally had the lift in working order on the Friday afternoon after we had complained on several occasions as we had to walk up and down to and from the 4th floor every day. We spoke to 2 other people who live in this building who advised that the lifts hadn’t been working for a “long time”. Seeing as there was a free cancellation clause the host should have told us about the lift issues so we could have cancelled and booked another property with a working lift. Also beware as this property doesn’t have aircon and is as hot as hell due to afternoon sun. I feel we should be compensated…

Bel appartement au 4ème étage d'un petit immeuble avec ascenseur. Très propre et fort bien équipé. 2 chambres avec lits doubles, 2 douches, 2 toilettes (1 dans une des sdb). Très confortable quand on voyage avec un couple d'amis ou des grands enfants. Emplacement vraiment idéal pour la visite à pied du centre de Bordeaux. Déco sobre mais sympa. Nous avons utilisé le parking MET Park au pied de l'immeuble (72€ pour 3 jours). Petit déj. pris dans la rue Georges Bonnac, à proximité.
