The accommodation was exactly as shown in the photos — clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The location was convenient, and the check-in process was smooth with clear instructions from the host. I appreciated the small details like fresh linens, good Wi-Fi, and a quiet environment, which made the stay very relaxing. Communication with the host was also quick and helpful whenever I had a question. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and good value for money. I would happily stay there again and recommend it to other travellers.

Great place.

Nice clean room, comfortable bed, tea, coffee, sugar provided. Lovely friendly staff, fast wifi, good kitchen with everything needed, fridge and freezer to store food. Nice hot shower, close to shops and takeaways.

Kitchen gets busy around teatime but not a problem as everyone does there own thing and let's you get on with your food preparation. Understandable as most people eat around the same time.

Comfortable bed, very clean throughout, fully equipped kitchen, easy check-in check-out, nice and warm, hot powerful shower, close to shops, good wifi, nice to see bedside lamp and mirror added to room. Would definitely stay here again.

No sleep

Didn't know about live in residents, put food in freezer and someone knocked on door with our food saying we couldn't use that one, maybe put a sign up. Couldn't sleep due to a young lad coming in street every hour shouting for his dad to open door, this went on all night every night. Very noisy due to people slamming doors. Noisy as people cooking late at night . Could do with a lamp in room for nights. No mirror in room to get ready.

Fine for the price

I wanted a cheap room for the night in central Sunderland and this fitted the bill. It was close to the town centre and the room was fine. The owner went out of his way to get me a parking permit which was nice.

Given this was a converted terraced house it was probably difficult to have an en suite toilet/shower but having to share facilities was mildly inconvenient.

Disgusting, dirty and unsafe - DO NOT STAY HERE

Absolutely nothing it was disgusting, dirty and unsafe.

I’m honestly shocked that this property is listed on Booking.com. The room was absolutely disgusting and completely unhygienic from the moment we arrived. The bath was filthy, containing body hair, hair strands, and even food residue — clearly, it hadn’t been cleaned at all. The walls had peeling wallpaper, the furniture was stained and damaged, and to make matters worse, there was a large exposed wire that was extremely unsafe. The entire room felt neglected, dirty, and completely unfit for guests. We were so uncomfortable that we had to book another hotel immediately at our own expense. After back and forth with the owner he has given us a partial refund which is HALF what we paid. His excuse for this is because he was kind to my partner upon arrival and she didn’t complain herself (due to anxiety). Terrible. I’ve attached photos to show just how bad the conditions were, as the pictures on the listing are completely misleading. This property should not be available for booking until it meets basic hygiene and safety standards. Avoid this place at all costs.

Good location and does what it says on the tin

Decent enough place to get your head down near Sunderland town centre and about 15 minutes walk from the football ground. The bloke who let me in (who I think lives in the property) was friendly and helpful.

It is pretty basic and not a hotel but I already knew that beforehand. I’m just highlighting this here in case anyone reading is expecting hotel facilities. You won’t get them so probably best to look elsewhere.

This is my second time in the Princess Homstay.The room is clean and tidy,the staff is very kind and helpful And I will definitely recommend.

Was a bit hasty with it being a shared facilities but had no problems at all, staff and other residents were spot on, parking available and located 2mins away from the city centre good value for money

Really enjoyed my stay here for a night. It was a nice place. Excellent value for money , ideal location right next to metro and city centre which made by journey very easy. Staff were friendly and responded promptly to requests.

NOTHING - TOALLY RUBBISH

The place is a total wreck. The communal area had someone sleeping there all the time over the two nights and day I was there. The funiture in the room was a folding camping table & chair. The wallpaper for what there was was flakey and there was no TV in the room or in the communal area. The landlord sent a facebook messege on the day I was travelling so I had to get the sleeping person to contact then to find out the code to get the keys as I did not get access to the code sent in the messege until I got home AFTER my stay. The whole place is a DUMP and that is an insult to DUMPS as it was a horrible place
