We stayed on Cabines Catamaran and it was absolutely idyllic. Charles and Nadine are wonderful hosts — warm, friendly, attentive, yet always discreet. Having visited Alvor many times over the years and stayed in most of the hotels and apartments around the village, we honestly didn’t think our experience of Alvor could be elevated any further. But staying on a catamaran in the harbour changed everything.
Watching the sunset from the deck, enjoying a beautifully prepared three-course meal served with genuine care and attention, and waking up to the gentle sounds of the harbour was unforgettable. In the morning, being able to dive into the water for a swim before climbing back on board to a freshly prepared breakfast served on deck — while watching Alvor come to life — was pure magic.
This isn’t just another place to stay; it’s a unique experience. Charles and Nadine don’t simply offer accommodation — they welcome you into their home and make you feel part of something special. Their thoughtful transfers to and from the shore and the effortless way they take care of every detail made our stay exceptional.
We’ve loved Alvor for years, but this experience took it to a completely new level. It’s something we’ll remember forever.

Die 3 Nächte auf dem Catamaran war ein tlles Erlebnis für mich und meine Kinder. Nadine und Chalres sind tolle Gastgeber und Nadine eine wunderbare Therapeutin, ich habe eine Shiatsu Behanlung bei ihr gebucht und kann das sehr empfehlen

Charles and Nadine were a delight to stay with. The catamaran and facilities were very comfortable and welcoming and in the ideal location overlooking the town and the boats around, not to mention the perfect sunsets. Charles and Nadine prepared an excellent breakfast as an included service and when we asked for dinners, we were given a proper treat which the local restaurants couldn't touch. The entire situation was such a treat and we were so very well pampered. Thank you Nadine and Charles!!
Dinner is part of the offering, and we struggled to understand how the situation would work out prior to the booking. So, a better description of both, what is expected, and what facilities are NOT available to use, would have made the initial transition into the comfort of the place better. Once we got over that, and understood the way it works, it was great. There is no use of the kitchen, which is fine once you know that. But, being able to make an afternoon tea, might be nice, but in the end did not take away from the experience. Getting clarification on evening drink (what we brought for ourselves) and what they expect, also lacked some clarity. So, I'd encourage that to be more clear.

Toda una experiencia. La amabilidad y atención que nos regalaron nuestros anfitriones. Nos sentimos cuidados, y muy cómodos.
La sesión de shiatsu después de desayunar de las manos de la Diosa Nadine, descansar en la red después de nadar y refrescarse. Sentarme a la mesa sin tener que pensar y degustar un menú perfecto, cuidado al detalle. Un gran chef Charles. Ver a tu familia sumergirse en estos placeres no tiene precio. Tendríamos que haberlo hecho más veces, pero también había que salir a disfrutar de la playa y el pueblo.
Muy recomendable comer y cenar a bordo.
Todos disfrutamos como niños, y mi hija se lo pasó genial. El pueblo tiene a gente muy amable, muchísima vida y variedad de restaurantes con buena relación calidad precio.
Fueron 4 días de fantasía. Todo lleno de encanto.
Repetiremos navegando.
El baño es algo incomodo, pero no se puede hacer mucho para mejorar. Es como el baño de un avión o una caravana. Es lo que hay, viene con el pack.
