On the Côte de Nacre, on the English Channel, Ouistreham serves as a port for the city of Caen located 14 kilometers to the south. Ferry links connect the port to Portsmouth in the UK. The city has all the attributes of the coastal resorts of the region: beach, casino, thalasso... It is also a place of remembrance, because on several beaches in the vicinity the Normandy landings.
