Brand New - Entire Place - Anjos

We enjoyed our stay at this rental. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The location is good as close to good pastry shop, grocery, restaurants, bars, takeaway food, and close to attractions by car. The listing could have been more clear that the only common area is the kitchen with 4 chairs. Given we had 7 in our party, we found ourselves standing to accommodate the group. With 5 rooms, four seats don't cover those staying in the property. Its also noted that at check in, the entire place was clean, but the fridge was full from the previous guests food, we contacted the owner and they offered to send the cleaner the next day, but we decided to discard the items ourselves.On checkout day, an hour before check out, our door opened without a knock or notice. A cleaner entered the apartment that did not speak English, so we were unable to properly communicate. They stayed in the apartment during our last hour waiting for us to leave. It was uncomfortable and intrusive as we were clearing the kitchen and they were in our only common space. 30 minutes prior to check out a second cleaner arrived with two guests and entered without knocking or notice. They offered no explanation for being ther when asked they said they were dropping off luggage early for their 4pm check in. The owner had not communicated any of this and when we contacted them, they stated they were not aware. Overall, it was a place to stay but marred by the uncomfortable situation at check out.
