The host was responsive and easy to communicate with, which we really appreciated. The location is great — very convenient and walkable to key areas. While there is an elevator, you should expect to climb at least two flights of stairs, so plan accordingly if you have heavy luggage. We especially loved the layout of the apartment. The four bedrooms open into a shared central space, which made it great for gathering while still having privacy when needed. And the balcony was a highlight — such a lovely place to sit, relax, and enjoy the surroundings. Overall, the space has great bones and a good location, and with a few updates it could truly shine.

This property has the potential to be fantastic — the space and layout are great — but it really needs some attention and maintenance to live up to its description. Individually, many of the issues are minor. Collectively, they impact comfort — especially at this price point. For example, the pillows weren’t just flat, they were missing filling and had to be folded over multiple times to be usable. Several dining room chairs were broken and couldn’t be leaned back in because the backs had nearly detached. There was a visible hole in one bedroom wall. The bathroom has an attic door that remains open, so there’s very little sound privacy - everything going on in the bathroom is easily heard in the living room. The tea kettles were stored with water inside, resulting in significant limescale buildup — enough that we opted to boil water in pasta pots instead. The living room has two couches but no side tables or coffee table, so there’s nowhere to set drinks or small items. None of these things alone would be a major issue, but together they made the stay feel worn and not particularly comfortable. The listing refers to the property as a “mansion,” which sets an expectation of something polished or updated. At $500 per night, we expected a bit more care and upkeep. In hindsight, two hotel rooms at a similar price might have provided more comfort. Overall, it was fine — but it didn’t feel like a posh or especially comfortable stay. With some maintenance and attention to detail, it truly could be excellent.
