Overall, our stay was very comfortable. It's a really nice, aesthetically pleasing home. You'd have everything you need, and it's perfect for a family. We had two kids, and we had a comfortable time. The house is kept clean, and there are cleaning materials in case you need them. We stayed for several nights. Bonus: It's close to Livingston North, and at the station, you'd find the best fish & chips in town -- La Capanna!

When we arrived, the house felt airtight and closed off for a while, so it felt a bit hot and uncomfortable. But after a while, once you've opened the windows, it should be fine. I would recommend, if possible, maintenance come a few hours earlier to get some air flowing so that when guests arrive, it feels pleasant. Perhaps some electric fans on the second floor would also be a great idea. It could get really warm upstairs. Last thing, although this is nothing from the owner, do note that this is quite far from the busy city. It's a very quiet place, and there aren't many establishments nearby that you can just walk to. You can drive, or order a taxi, though. Also, as I mentioned, the nearby train station was convenient and connected us to Edinburgh quite easily.
