Cottage near Matlock Bath & Cromford

Fabulous little cottage with everything that we could need. Very comfortable throughout. The shower was particularly good and white fluffy towels added to it. The village was delightful and I'm so glad that I didn't stay in Matlock. Everything in the area is so near by to the cottage, nothing was more than 10-15 drive away

Beds were a bit too hard for my liking but that's a personal preference.

The Cottage was spotlessly clean. Very comfortable. Amenities were perfect. Caters for families and couples alike. We will definitely come back.

The only issue was the parking could be a problem

The location was excellent and the cottage was a perfect size for 2 people and a dog. The beds were comfortable and there were some lovely touches like cosy soft furnishings. The kitchen was well stocked.

The cottage needed a little bit of TLC and there were some things that needed fixing and improving in the cottage such as a broken door of the wood burning stove, a curtain needed to be hung over the patio door and the wooden trim around the fire was loose. It would have been good to have more information in the welcome pack to say how things work in the house. We were looking forward to the welcome pack that is shown in the photos but there wasn’t one and there was no kindling and fire lighters for the wood burner so we had to find somewhere to buy some. All fairly small things but would enhance the experience.

Location ok.

The cottage could do with some tlc. Paintwork and fittings look tired - I think the photo's must've been taken a long time ago. Downstairs it smelt damp. First thing on arrival we noticed things were dusty and grimy. There was a pile of unopened post at the front door. Sticky handles in the kitchen and the heater cable hanging down. Upstairs slightly better, though the bathroom had similar issues - worn fittings, tired paintwork etc. Not long after arriving we gave the place an anti-bac wipe down, vacuum and mop. Parking not as easy as suggested.
