ウバク荘 Ubakuso

I had a truly wonderful stay. The house is beautiful, incredibly comfortable, and full of charm. As a Ghibli fan, it felt like stepping into a Ghibli movie, which made the experience even more special. The hospitality was exceptional, and I felt genuinely welcomed from the moment I arrived. The breakfast was absolutely unforgettable. Even after living in Japan for three years and trying many Japanese breakfasts, this was by far the best I have ever had. Every dish was carefully prepared, delicious, and made with so much care. I was honestly amazed. The house is a little isolated, so it’s worth planning ahead if you don’t have a car or want to buy food nearby. That said, the peaceful surroundings are part of its charm, and it was absolutely worth it for such a unique and relaxing experience. Thank you for creating such a warm and memorable stay. If I visit Hokkaido again, I would love to stay here again, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic, peaceful, and heartfelt Japanese experience.

Very cute and comfortable chalet close to Biei. Very friendly host who prepared delicious and varied breakfasts during our stay.

Best place we tried in Hokkaido until now. The guest is very friendly, the accommodation has all what you need and more! There is a nice place where you can read manga, play some games or watch a movie. If you stay several days, you can cook in the fully equipped kitchen, there are several store at 5 min by car. And best of all… the Japanese breakfast that the guest did for us.
