Ubakuso

Our stay was absolutely wonderful, and this was definitely one of the nicest places we stayed during several dozen nights spent traveling around Japan. One of the absolute highlights was the breakfast. It was prepared with great care every day and was truly one of the best parts of the whole stay. The accommodation itself was perfectly equipped - we had everything we needed and did not miss anything during our stay. The only thing to keep in mind is the location. Most places are relatively far away, so having a car is, in our opinion, almost essential. Overall, we were extremely happy with our stay and would 100% recommend this place.

Out of our two weeks' worth of properties in Japan, this was our favourite. The host is a delightful lady who is eager to help and who has created a lovely, homely and extremely well-equipped property. If anything, the photos don't do the property justice, creating the air of a remote cabin that is a bit rustic. In fact, the property is not particularly old, everything works and is extremely comfortable. It sits just outside the town and is next door to the host's house which is quite reassuring. It's not the location for a walk into town but is the perfect base for exploring the wider area by car and we wished we had stayed longer. If you want to explore the Biei area to visit the lavender farms etc, it is well located near main roads and you can be in Furano quickly. The host brings breakfast on a tray each morning - again, possibly the best food we had during our stay.

If you accept that you do really need a car when you are there, I can't think of anything.
