A very comfortable house to stay in, spacious and clean. It's like a lot of my Japanese family and friends' houses, a little retro, and easy to live in.
Location is excellent - so close to the station, where you can catch the bus as far as Yubari Coal Mine Museum. The Coop just at the back is lovely, and there are two convenience stores also nearby. There's also some small restaurants though I didn't use these. Melon Kuma House is directly opposite, where you can buy souvenirs and meet Melon Kuma in person.
I'm not as fit as I used to be and found the stairs a little steep (though these are normal stairs for this sort of house). I was a bit nervous, though was gradually getting used to it. It would be difficult for anyone with mobility issues.
