First of all — check-in. Officially, check-in starts at 3 PM. I asked for an early check-in and was not even properly refused — instead, we were simply told that they “didn’t have time” to prepare the apartment earlier. In the end, we waited around 4 hours near the apartment and were checked in not at 3 PM, but closer to 4 PM. The explanation was basically: “Sorry, we have many apartments and we’re busy.” Not exactly the best attitude toward guests. Another issue was the Wi-Fi. For some people it may not matter, but for me it is very important. Because this is an old building with thick walls, mobile internet barely works inside unless you literally stick your phone out the window. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi provided in the apartment barely worked either. Technically it exists, but in reality it was almost unusable. The key handover process was also unnecessarily complicated. Instead of a simple self check-in system with a lockbox, we had to wait for someone to arrive and then listen to a full “tour” of the apartment after already waiting for hours. I understand the intention, but after such a long wait I really just wanted to enter the apartment, relax, and continue my day — not spend another 10–15 minutes being shown where the toilet and plates are. Another unpleasant surprise: there were huge cockroaches in the building. I honestly have no idea how they ended up there, but this was the first time I encountered something like this in Italy. We stayed for 7 days, and for two people the apartment provided only three tiny bars of soap and one very small bottle of shampoo/shower gel. I will attach photos because it honestly felt ridiculous for a one-week stay. There is also no washing machine, which would have been very useful for longer stays. The apartment is extremely humid as well, so keep that in mind. Although the location is central, you can hear everything happening outside in the evenings even with the windows closed.
