Valley Overlook

I loved being less than a mile from the Blossom Music Center. I live in a city, so anytime I get the chance to connect with nature I'm happy. The 2 bedroom cabin is pristine, has a cute private back deck and all the amenities you would expect in a modern hotel (kitchen, tv, linens...) When the power went out, Terry the owner graciously gave us hot coffee and gave me a personal tour of the grounds while sharing the unique history. It was originally a camp ground from the '30's for black children. It was in disrepair when he bought the camp, but the energy and good vibes clearly are living on as was evidenced during my stay. Two thumbs up for the couples travelling from China who graciously shared their roasted yams and fruit with me.

It was hard to sleep when the power went out. Maybe some battery-operated fans in the units would help future guests get through the night if they lose power during a heat wave.
