Pebble

The cottage had a good feel, and it would be very cute and has heaps of potential to be a great place to stay. It’s a good location and parking in the British Legion was incredibly convenient because we were directly opposite.

On the whole the property is VERY tired. I realise this is a listed building, but there are a lot of things that could be done to improve it, especially with what we just paid on May bank holiday. The bed in the master room, was not only uncomfortable but it had a metal bed frame and squeaked loudly everytime you moved. Mattress was uncomfortable. The upstairs en suite smelled musty, The shower lacked power, tried once didn’t try again. The second bedroom, very dated and same complaint about the beds. The kitchen sink is blocked and didn’t drain. Wall paper by the dusty grubby kitchen extractor is coming off the wall. Washing machine is rusty and a biohazard. We avoided. It’s really not the cleanest, if you start to look, dust, cobwebs and hair can be found all over. The little bathroom downstairs shower door doesn’t have a seal on the bottom of the glass so leaks and you have to be careful using it. The sink if completely impractical for anything. Lamps were broken, one was held together with a piece of string.
