About this house rental

The Cley offers a rare combination of comfort, space, and convenience in the heart of Blakeney. With off-road parking for two cars — something many local cottages cannot offer — you can arrive and unwind with ease, while the Quay is just a short two-minute stroll away.

Inside, the property feels refreshingly light and spacious compared to many traditional Norfolk cottages. Tastefully furnished and fully equipped, it's ready for you to settle in and enjoy from the moment you arrive. Modern comforts include electric heating, double glazing, hot water, and a striking large log burner that creates a cosy focal point in the stylish Swedish-inspired living room.

An entrance hall leads to a well-appointed fitted kitchen with appliances, and flows into a dining area with a large oak table and chairs. The beautifully presented living room space features a vaulted ceiling, enhancing the sense of openness. For added enjoyment, guests have exclusive use of a private games room, with a table tennis table and dart board — ideal for friendly tournaments or relaxed family fun. There is flexible sleeping accommodation across three double bedrooms (comprising one double en suite and one twin en suite on the first floor, and a ground floor twin bedroom with a fully accessible wet room/wc. The property also benefits from an additional downstairs toilet, making it perfect for larger groups or families.

Blakeney itself is one of North Norfolk's most desirable coastal destinations. The village boasts a selection of welcoming pubs, quality restaurants—including the renowned Moorings fish restaurant—and a range of local amenities such as a mini supermarket, deli, fishmonger, and charming independent shops.

The surrounding area is perfect for walkers, with beautiful routes along the coastal path to Cley-next-the-Sea in one direction and Morston Quay in the other, where there are regular opportunities for scenic boat trips, including the unmissable opportunity to witness the thriving seal colony at Blakeney Point.

Two well behaved dogs are welcome. There is a small, secure gated grassed area at the front of the property for private use, and there is a larger public field less than a 1 min walk from the front door.

We enjoyed our stay at The Cley. The location within Blakeney is good and the village very attractive. The house accommodated us well, with good sized rooms. We appreciated the ground floor bedroom with en-suite wet room. Great to have parking on site and good weather enabled us to enjoy the garden furniture. A manual for the washer dryer would have been helpful and the microwave buttons were often not very responsive. We needed to reset the switch in the fuse box for the kitchen sockets on one occasion. One of the showers was not draining very well, so we had to buy some unblocker for that. We also cleaned the dishwasher filter as we didn't think it was cleaning very well. These things wouldn't stop us from staying again but maybe it is time to review some of the appliances and have a deep clean of the property. Overall, we would give 4 out of 5.

Wow wow wow we have just returned from a week stay at the cley. The house was perfect so comfortable and with each bedroom having its own ensuite it made satying here a breeze. The hiuse was extremely well equipped with kitchen accessories. The house was very clean and sizable for all 4 adults staying. The hosue was ideally located and we ate out in the moorings, the kings head and the marina. I couldnt make a single complaint about each establishment. All of these a short walk from the property. We all had a fantastic stay here and would definatley recommend to anyone. If I had to have a negative it would only be that the house could use a decent vaccuum cleaner and a mop and bucket. Just to make the cleaning a little easier at the end of your stay. Thank you so much for letting us stay at your house we had the most amazing experience.
