The infinity pool, the view, and the garden are absolutely breathtaking. The tranquility in the middle of August (the other guests were also very quiet)—we’ve never experienced anything like it. For that, I wouldn’t give it a 10, but a 12. Also, the nearby beaches (Porto Katziki, Egremni, Gialos, and Megali Petra) are best visited in the afternoon, when the biggest crowds have already left or it’s no longer so hot.
It’s more than 500 meters to the beach. It’s a 15-minute walk to the Egremni Beach parking lot (3 minutes by car), then from there it’s about 1 kilometer on foot along the paved road (which gets very hot in the sun) and 400 steps down to the beach. About 25 minutes one way, 40 minutes back. But because of the arduous journey and the kilometer-long beach, Egremni Beach is never overcrowded and, despite everything, remains our favorite beach on Lefkada.
