Lawangkala Resort Ubud

We had such a lovely stay at Lawangkala, we felt like the only people there is was so relaxing. It’s by the river so it’s very peaceful. Located outside of Ubud, not within walking distance and there’s very little near by. We got grabs mostly from there. If you want a tranquil place to stay within 10mins drive from Ubud central this is great!

Not great cardio equipment in the gym. If you have any accessibility issues check with the hotel before booking the room type as there was stairs to ours!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An absolutely unforgettable stay at Lawangkala Resort, Ubud! From the moment I arrived, I felt completely welcomed and taken care of. I was given a welcome drink and given time to relax before taken to my room. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely made me feel at home. The views were breathtaking — lush greenery, peaceful surroundings, and the perfect blend of luxury and nature by the river. The hotel comes with a good sized gym as well as very good WiFi speed. Brilliant for nomads or individuals that need to still do business or surf the web. My villa (mezzanine room) was spotless, beautifully designed, and so serene. The bathroom was my highlight, and waking up to the sounds of the jungle each morning felt magical. The breakfast was delicious every single day, with so many fresh options! Wardani the chef is incredible and she cooks from the heart using her family recipes. ❤️ What truly sets this resort apart is the atmosphere — calm, intimate, and effortlessly relaxing. Every little detail was perfect. I left feeling refreshed, grounded, and already wanting to come back. (Hopefully February/March) with family. Huge thanks to Intan who was so professional and kind. She served me morning breakfast everyday. Nanda who was always so welcoming at reception, he even gave me a lift on his motorbike when it started to rain☔️, he has exceptional customer service. Alongside his colleagues Friska and Meita who made my stay just as warm and relaxing 🧘‍♂️ always so smiley these two girls and helpful. Big thanks to Ole for always making sure my stay is going well. As a repeat guest I'm more enchanted each time I stay at this beautiful resort. Its views are unmatched, rooms are comfy and clean, and staff are exceptionally kind. An absolute hidden gem on a sacred river.

I have been to Bali many times over the past few years and stayed in some very welcoming resorts and hotels but Lawankala Resort was next level up for me . The resort has only been opened for a month or so and my stay was perfect. The resort is small I think with only 9 rooms, two of which were small villas with their own pool , about three chalet style self contained units and four regular spacious rooms. The resort is set on a steep hillside with an unspoilt river at the bottom and overlooks the lush green hill on the other side . Two Infinity pools also !! So clean ! The entire resort is so beautifully decorated and appointed and is in turn complimented by a well trained and professional staff with great attitude. No need to go to other restaurants as the food was excellent , especially the breakfast !

There was almost nothing i didn’t like about my stay except that in hindsight I should have stayed longer. 😁 I will when I definitely return !!

Erg vriendelijk personeel, ruime kamers en een erg relaxte sfeer. Service was correct en snel, en ontbijt opties waren fijn. Hoogtepuntje was het uitzicht vanuit de kamer en lobby.
