This castle-style apartment is located right at the gateway to the Lake District. It takes about 30 minutes to an hour by car to reach different spots around the lakes. Even so, my family and I are all thoroughly satisfied with our stay here. The garden is absolutely amazing. Highly recommended!
The lighting in some rooms is not bright enough, and it’s a bit inconvenient when turning off the lights at night. However, these minor issues are nothing compared to the wonderful overall accommodation experience.

Beautiful property, extremely clean and comfortable and an ideal location if you want to explore the countryside. I am a history student so staying in a beautiful historic home was a dream. :) The hosts have obviously put in a lot of time and effort into the property from antique furniture to lighting and prints on the walls.
No issues at all.

A very unique property, very well cared for, with hosts that understand hospitality at its fundamental level. The historical perspective of the interior appointments was literally like stepping back in time to a bygone era....recreated inside and out by the "Custodian - Hosts", Paul & Samantha..
In our instance and our 4-days staying at Summerlands Hall ... we can truly say that we had zero items in way of items we did not like or care for. This is earned and we recognize it takes meticulous attention to detail.
