Villa Mysis - Lacanau Océan

Location, location, location! Just metres from the beach and Lacanau Océan shops and bars but still quiet, the little cabin is perfectly placed. The outdoor seating area is great even when it’s very hot, and being able to park our car securely was great too. We had great communication with the owner. The place was well organised for our arrival. A large fan was available, which was great in the heatwave.

The accommodation really is extremely rustic: the kitchen and bathroom haven’t been updated for decades, and the bedroom is rudimentary with curtains across the unfinished walls. The owners had done what they could in terms of cleaning, but it’s hard when the cabin hasn’t been renovated, and the bathroom really isn’t up to scratch. We were out and about all day so it was okay for us, but we had hoped for a better bathroom especially. With a basic renovation and update, this accommodation could be fantastic!

Jean Pierre est un hôte très arrangeant, nous avions besoin de draps et serviettes, il a bien voulu nous dépanner. La maison est proche de tout , elle a le charme des vieilles maisons Canaulaises, nous avons apprécié le petit patio devant avec la table extérieure, 1 ou 2 transats supplémentaires seraient une bonne idée pour lézarder dehors après le repas. Je remercie Jean Pierre pour sa gentillesse, je garde précieusement cette adresse.

Un petit problème de fuite d'eau dans la douche mais ce n'est pas grand chose, un feu de la cuisinière qui ne marche pas mais qui sera sans doute réparé à un moment..Je recommande cette petite maison car le rapport qualité prix est très bien vu les prix pratiqués sur Lacanau.

Loved the location, can hardly do better if you're here for the Ocean. The house itself is simple, but cosy. It is a holiday family home.

It is a bit dated and could do with a bit of a refurb, but nothing majorly important. Given that doing so would likely drive the price up, I wouldn't put it as an immediate requirement.
