Little gem of a place, had everything we needed and a historic story to the building. Perfect location for a cycling and walking break with the added bonus of a disused railway track right near the gate.

Everything!! The cottage met all our expectations, clean, comfortable and well equipped. Previews reviews mentioned poor water pressure in the shower but this was not our experience, it was hot and powerful. Loved the location too. It is very remote, super quiet and dark.
We'd tried to find out what facilities would be available near by before we visited and were disappointed that everything in the village was shut until Thursday or indefinitely...The Kielder Tavern. Some more local information would have been helpful and reassuring.

The location was great for us as we had a long walk planned no need for driving. It is also close to the start of the lake. The stars from the back garden were exceptional loved everything about it.
