Everything! The place was perfect, the pool amazingly refreshing, and the host even better! he helped us out with everything and even got some delicious food upon arriving.

The house is overlooking the Ribeira Seca valley, and there is a nice trail across the the coconut and banana plantations with a direct access to the stream bed where endemic birds can be heard and seen, and to the lagoons (for birdwatching, not for swimming). The beach is also not far and the walk there is easy.
The house has comfortable rooms, a kitchen with a gas stove and some equipment, and a swimming pool.
The shops in the area have limited choice of food, so if you need something beyond rice, lentils and canned fish, it's better to bring it from elsewhere. I didn't see any eatery within walking distance, maybe I just didn't look well.
