Location and very specious

Entrance up fire exit but not a big deal

Great location. Friendly host/owner. Really bright and spacious. Clean and comfortable. Well equipped. Lots of natural light and plenty of electric lights. One big bathroom plus an additional separate toilet. Bedrooms nice and dark at night. Lots of opening windows. Beds very comfortable. Can't fault it. Also little welcome pack which was appreciated. Owner responded to a couple of questions really quickly and was very helpful.

Access up a very rusty fire escape that's full of holes felt a little precarious. Is an internal staircase and front door but there was an aggressive Jack Russell one day barking and snapping by the front door so could not actually get in. Tried to shout his owner in top flat but they completely ignored us, there door was wide opt. Was running up and down barking for a good hour or two afterwards afterwards too. A real shame as absolutely not the apartment owners fault but does impact guests. Hopefully it was just a one off.

Was unsure when we pulled up as it's a little run down outside but once we opened the door we were more than happy. It was very clean, very homely and lots of little touches to make things easier. Location is great, we had no issues with parking and lots of useful things nearby. It was a lovely little flat, set out well and a lovely light living room area.

It states pet friendly, however when we read the folder it says that peta should be kept off furniture. If I had known this prior, I probably wouldn't have chosen this place as my dogs go wherever humans go in our house. There was also nowhere with a grassed area nearby as my dogs will only toilet on grass. Outside stairs could do with a night light, it was so dark climbing the stairs and the light that's there barely works. Finally, the towels provided were stained/unclean which was off-putting however everything else was very clean.

Clean, comfortable accommodation in the perfect position. Across the road from the Bus Station and the Railway Station so easy access for travellers without a vehicle. One minutes walk from the main street to the heart of town. The Apartment was very well equipped and maintained. We knew to expect a less than inviting access via the fire escape (rusting and with paint peeling) but as soon as the Apartment is entered one could hardly wish for more. Excellent Wi-Fi and if you need a recharge then there are plenty of wall sockets to plug into. There is not the usual problem in many places of inconvenient locations of such sockets. We counted 39! Comfortable beds, bedding and good towels. We have visited Filey regularly for some years but due to Council Tax changes the location we usually have stayed is no longer available. We have already passed on details to friends who like us had used the other property. We hope they will be able to enjoy a stay here as much as we did.

Only small comment is that the access to the shower is quite narrow for larger persons. The well positioned handle against the shower was really helpful.
