Beach-side cottage with the pool North Maroubra close to Coogee

Loved the property and the pool area is very pretty. Perfect for a couple. We were travelling with our daughter and her fiance. The house is comfortably furnished and lots of extras left for our use in the kitchen and bathroom. Owner friendly. In I nice quiet street.

Property further from the beach than stated. Second bedroom is situated between the lounge/kitchen and main bedroom but with no separation or privacy other than doors either end so really part of the corridor. Bed being a high bunk. This area has glass patio doors to one side of the bunk and a large long window on the other with no window coverage other than a partial blind. So the room is not dark at night and gets the morning sunshine. This was mentioned to the owner as something she might want to address. Obviously this is not a problem if just a couple staying. Also worth mentioning that the pool area is not private to your own use as the owners unit opposite the pool is also rented out so they walk through the area. Plus the owners family used the pool after we went inside. We also had an issue with the bamboo and bushes around the property banging and scraping against the property in the wind and causing sleepless nights . Again this has been pointed out to the owner so may be rectified before someone stays again.

Location was magnificent, comfy bedding, excellent host with instant communication.

Seeing as we stayed in winter during rainy season, thicker blankets could have been provided as we solely relied on heaters to stay warm. Which were very small heaters, taking over an hour to make a difference. The tall fan heaters provided would have been wonderful if they weren't moldy. One bathroom didn't have a fan working so we couldn't have hot showers because it would have left everything wet, the bathroom that had a working fans drained was clogged so showers were extremely rushed to avoid flooding the floor; in saying this I'm hoping the hosts were just unaware and fixed it after we left.
