Urban Oasis: Brixton Escape

Right in the middle of Brixton and very accessible for the O2 Loads of good places to eat right on your doorstep! Loved the fans as we came on one of the hottest weekends so they were a godsend in the bedrooms- thanks!

Needs another small sofa or comfy chair - one of us had to sit on a hard chair at the table to watch TV. Also the door to the flat was difficult to get into- new lock or a bit of wd40 me thinks.

Amazing location, and quite spacious considering we’re in the middle of London. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen and bathroom were in good working order, and there was space to breathe. Having Brixton Market, the O2 Academy and the Brixton Academy on the doorstep was pretty amazing.

It’s right next to the tube line so you hear trains rumbling all night, and there was a persistent car alarm in the street outside the window at about midnight. The neighbourhood can be a chaotic, noisy place - but that’s just Brixton and honestly I never felt unsafe or unhappy. The trains didn’t even keep me awake. But if you are used to a more refined setting be prepared that you’re in an area with 2 concert venues, nightlife, members of practically every culture on Earth, and some pockets of real poverty. Be a thoughtful and self-aware visitor!

Slap bang in the centre of Brixton! Quirky apartment with good sized bedrooms.

The lounge area was very small but understandable as it’s an unusual shaped property.

Il faut savoir que l’emplacement de de cet établissement pour vous donner une idée, c’est l’équivalent d’un appartement dans le quartier de la goutte d’or à Barbès dans le 18e entouré de toxicomanes bruyant toute la nuit entouré des forces de police également et les rues sont vraiment sales dès 8h du matin, on voit des gens qui prennent du crack ça a été très effrayant et pas sécurisant.
