Tower Bridge Guest Flat-80

Location was ideal. 10 mjn walk to Tower Bridge Plenty of food and drink places on the way. And in surrounding areas no need to go far.

The kitchen appeared to be well equipped with plenty of cooking utensils and equipment available, although we only used the fridge, toaster and kettle. Sunny terrace outside with table and chairs, which had some city views, appeared to look over a school on one side and road at the front. London Bridge station is a 10 minute walk. Tower Bridge was a 30 minute walk. Plenty of shops and restaurants as well as being opposite one of London's most famous traditional pie and mash shops, dating back to 1902, and is one of the cities oldest surviving pie and mash shop in London. Close to Borough Market for food and drinks. Easy walk to The Shard and the South Bank. Ubers were great and most there within minutes! The keyless entry system worked well and made access simple. Overall, the accommodation was adequate and served the purpose of our visit.

There were a few maintenance issues that affected our stay. The fridge was switched off when we arrived, which meant it had an unpleasant smell until it had been running for a while. Would recommend this either staying on or if turned off to leave the door open. The boiler was also off on arrival, and although we managed to get it working ourselves before receiving a response, it would have been helpful to have clearer instructions or a quicker reply, it appears the microwave moves and can knock the power switch off. Leak under the sink, owner informed and leave a bowl to collect the drips. The curtains were quite thin in the bedrooms, pillows were also very thin and could do with being replaced and/or a 2nd pillow added. There is only 1 mirror between 2 bedrooms, each room would benefit a mirror and each bed would benefit a bedside table of some sort as well as vanity bins in the bedrooms. The smoke alarm battery was low and intermittently beeped during our first night; we reported this and it was replaced the following morning. Overall, the property could benefit from some redecoration and general maintenance updates. However, it provided the basics we needed and was suitable for a budget-friendly short stay.

The place was well maintained and comfortable.

L’appartement était propre, claire et la petite terrasse extérieur un petit plus. Les lits sont confortables, il est situé à environ 15 min à pied du tower bridge et les bus sont à proximité.

L’appartement n’était pas celui que nous avions réservé, les photos de l’annonce ne correspondent pas. La douche et l’évier était vétuste ainsi que la cuisine. Nous avons dû allez acheter un briquet pour la plaque à gaz sinon elle ne fonctionnait pas. Nous avons eu du mal à obtenir les codes d’accès et après avoir essayé d’ouvrir la porte du 76b sans succès, c’est alors qu’on nous a dit qu’il s’agissait du 80. Il n’y a pas de volet et la rue est très bruyante pour ceux qui ont du mal a dormir même si pour nous ça été !
