Urban Retreat

The rental space is in the home's basement. Recently painted and clean - had comfortable bedrooms. Appreciated the chocolates left on the kitchen table!

Owner appears to have done most of the updates. Incorrectly plumbed the hot/cold water lines and left confusing notes about operation. Refrigerator sits in the pseudo living room space, hide-a-bed is functional but not very comfortable.

From the moment we booked, Kathy provided us with very detailed instructions, which made it extremely easy to find the parking and access the apartment. The apartment was spotless, very well maintained, and fully equipped with everything we needed - kitchen essentials, fresh and beautifully scented towels and linens, bathroom supplies, a large fridge, as well as a washer and dryer, which we really appreciated. We were a family of 3 adults and 1 child, and there was plenty of space for everyone: two comfortable beds in separate rooms and a sofa bed for our child. The view from the windows of the mountains and the lovely garden was beautiful. Kathy was very welcoming, and we truly felt that we were expected and cared for. The apartment had such a warm, home-like feeling. We honestly have nothing negative to say and would happily stay here again! ❤️

The suite was large and clean. Fully equiped kitchen, coffee/tea and small snacks provided. Full sized fridge/freezer, stove etc. It is a beautiful property and was located very close to the people we were visiting. It has 2 good sized bedrooms, full kitchen with dining table seating for four people. It would easily accommodate 4-5 people. Parking was convenient.

Lack of comfortabe seating in the living room. I think the couch was a futon, so not great for sitting on. There was no TV, which seemed odd, considering the price. It was way more than we needed for two people.

Was very clean, well organized, and well stocked, fully contained suite.

I had a hard time entering door of suite because it was dark when I arrived. There should be an automatic light or flashlight provided for this type of situation(somebody entering at night).
