Side Hanok Residence

The bed was really comfortable, and the atmosphere was amazing! Minsik, our host, was very helpful and kind.

I stayed at the Side Hanok for two nights to enjoy one full day off during a long business trip. I chose it because, even at 60, I can’t expel the backpacker in me, only now I can afford to stopover at quality places. The other reviews speak for themselves and are – of course – accurate. This is a gem of a place, managed by an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and very kind local (Minsik) who was fantastic in helping me achieve Plan A for my first Seoul visit = hike up to the summit of Baegundae. I had a fabulous day. Location is great – very easy access from metro (less than 10 mins walk); easy access to National Park (a few metro stops and very easy bus ride - Minsik will give you all the directions that you need for a smooth journey), and in a very cool, local (non-tourist) neighbourhood with an abundance of fabulous options for food and beer! I stayed in one of the fancier en-suite rooms which as perfectly comfortable and very very peaceful. Thank you so much, Minsik – I’ll be back.

Having to leave after only two nights and one day's tourism.

This is such a beautiful place to stay. It was so relaxing to sit at the window and look out after a day of walking around the city.

It seems like the bathroom has a bit of water damage on the wood. It didn’t really affect me, but worth mentioning.

Hanok trochę w nowoczesnym wydaniu. Przestronny i w lokalizacji dużo mniej zatłoczonej niż Bukchon, co dla mnie jest dużym atutem. W okolicy wiele klimatycznych kafejek i restauracji.
